The team

We have a team of 40 passionate engineers experts in technologies like Java EE, Node, Angular, MongoDB, amongst others

We are continuously looking for new improvements and adjusting what does not work well for us. We work hand in hand with the product team and look after what we have in production with monitoring and observability tools.

About the role

A unique opportunity to join one of the agile squads within the innovative Odilo engineering organization. Your primary focus will be from-side development and will have interaction with designers, product owners, developers and testers.

We work in an agile environment, using a lightweight framework and tools like Jira, Confluence and Git.

The team is composed of some backend developers and a couple of fullstack developers. We need someone who can help the team to lead the client-side development and continue to keep our frontend clean and healthy.

Day to day responsibilities:

Improve the accessibility, performance, user-interface of the product

Build client-side architecture

Implement layouts, designs provided

Plan user stories and estimate the implementation effort

Mentor and coach other peers

Refactors, technical documentation

Debugging

Manage testing and bug fixes

Code reviews, suggest improvements

Pair programming with team mates

Ideally, you already know how to deliver a working product within the start-ups landscape, developing complex systems. You possess a proven track record developing scalable systems in combination with organizational constraints.

You are a passionate engineer eager to contribute to deliver a great product and care deeply about best practices for code quality, automation, and testing

About you

We are looking for someone with strong back end development skills (Java), and a deep understanding of how to build complex web applications:

Successful candidates would meet SOME of the following requirements:

Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar

Great communication skills

At least 3+ years professional experience.

Solid experience in Angular development, component-oriented design

Strong knowledge about how the web and the html protocol works

Valuable experience with user interface design and layout design

Experience with Git

Very good at creating interfaces

Amazing debugging / troubleshooting capabilities
